How's Your Weekend Been??

I'm just loafin' this weekend. Yesterday, I sewed curtains for my nephew and did a little scrapbooking. Then we had my mom and her husband & my sister and her family over for dinner and some card playing. It was a little too much for me to stay up and play cards, but I got through it. Today, we're going to church, coming home to have Chili for lunch. We'll probably go to the Rec Center and walk the track for a while today too. That's it!!! Nothing real exciting, but a relaxing weekend none the less. What have you been up to???? Hugs, laurie

Argh - wish I could have been doing all that yesterday Laurie!! I got up at 4:30am yesterday morning and left the house by 5:15am to go to the high school pick up our wrestlers who needed a ride and made the 2 hour trip to Imlay City (which in yesterday morning's beautiful weather took me 3 hours) where we sat at a wrestling meet ALL day, and I finally arrived home at 11pm last night when I fell into bed in an exhausted state. Now today I woke up with my first headache since my surgery and I had intended to get a BUNCH of housework done today, but right now I'm not up to it so for now I'm gonna take it easy and HOPE that I feel better a bit later. I have an eventful weekend. I am finishing up packing. We close on our new house on Tuesday so I have to get the last little bit of stuff packed. And I need to get laundry done too! Yesterday we went to dinner with my inlaws to Mongolian BBQ. It was really good. My first time being there. I might get a nap in today. I want to relax to before things get crazy with moving and painting. I am overall really excited! I wi**** was Tuesday already! Suzanne 300/157/150

Here's my weekend: As you all may know, I live here in "Beautiful Northern Michigan", (and it IS beautiful right now with all the snow on the trees!), the Houghton Lake Area, where "Tip Up Town U.S.A." is in full swing. For those of you who may not know, that is a festival on the ice of Houghton Lake...ice fishing contests, snowmobile races, clowns, ice sculptures, vendors, etc., always the last two weekends of January. I personally avoid the whole thing, as alot of us "locals" do, but many tourists have a great time! I'm just not much of a cold weather girl. They also happen to be filming a movie here right now...it's called "Frozen Stupid" with Ernest Borginine! I guess some have seen him already. Pretty cool for our little town! Then yesterday I went to my good friend Tami's house and her daughter cut/colored/highlighted my hair, and boy, does it feel good to have the works done! I needed it! And it looks GREAT!...Thanks Natalie! Anyway, I host karaoke on the weekends here at a club, so needless to say it was packed both Friday and Saturday nights. Earned my money this weekend! So I am sitting in front of my computer with an Atkins drink. relaxing and enjoying one of my favorite pastimes.....talking to you guys! Have a good week, all! Hugs, Theresa

I have spent most of my weekend cleaning and getting prepared for surgery on January 30. I did relax last night as my niece and her 2 boys came over. We watched the Miss America Pageant. Today I am washing clothes and doing more housework. My son from Kalamazoo is coming later today then I will relax. I am getting so excited and so far am not nervous, does everyone pretty much get nerved up before surgery? I feel very confident it will go just fine as I have heard lots of positive things about my surgeon and know women and men who praised having him. Hope you all are enjoying your weekend...

Laurie, I started my weekend with a Friday evening 5:31 with all of my co-workers. It was a going away party for one of the girls in the office that got smart and is moving back to Ohio. We then took the party to MGM Casino and had a wonderful comp dinner because my boss "knows someone", we all had the VIP treatment which is nice once in awhile to not have to pay. I have been having an "off work, thank goodness!!, weekend" I went for a pedicure for the first time in about 6 weeks yesterday, it was long overdue. I start back to ballet classes on Monday night and everytime you point your toes with an ingown toenail it really hurts so it was time to take care of all of those ouchy things . I did laundry yesterday, grocery shopping, and then watched Wedding Crashers and Drumline and fell asleep during the end of the movie and haven't a clue what happened!!! I slept for 12 hours last night and I guess I must have been really tired because I woke up with the TV still on as well as my glasses . I started my Sunday morning by making a pot of Mushroom Barley soup with some tofu added for extra protein,yummmy. I plan on getting out to do some walking at the mall today and as well I am going to get some new running shoes at DSW with a gift card that I got from Christmas from my daughters former boyfriend , its nice to know he still thinks of us as family Yes I said running!!! I have been walking during my lunch hours and I am stepping it up to a jog now, so I figured I would get some proper footwear . Yesterdays scale said 8 pounds to goal. Hugs back , Jill

Well, my weekend kicked off at midnight Saturday when I got off work, I work Tues-Sat 2nd shift. Today I woke up, had my morning coffee, then went to Wellness Central with a new friend of mine Dorothy from here and her friend Teresa and worked out (walked 2 miles!) yay! and then into the hot tub we went and whoa! IT was hot indeed. Then we went to lunch and sat and talked a while and I came home and read chapter 3 of my textbook for the CPS (Computer Programming) Class I'm taking at the University I work at ..........and now I'm just sitting around the place wondering what to do next. I had invited a friend over but can't get ahold of her........so I may just vacuum, take out the trash and sit and pop in a good movie in the DVD player. Next weekend I'm going to a homecoming party for a friend of mine in Grand Rapids who just got back in December from a year service over in Iraq and I'm the hostess and Emcee and looking forward to seeing him and his wife and all their friends and family.
