IT'S OVER....I'M FREE
Hi All, I'm one week post-op and feel better each day. This is not a easy surgery.I was vaguely aware of much for a while(pain meds) and I had alot of nausea and pain.I did not like the JP tube and the upper GI was NASTY!.All the pain meds made me depressed and when someone came to see me I would cry....no reason I just needed to cry.The good news is I was ready for all of it...all the lurking and talking to post-op's and talking with my Doc and reading...I was ready and its the best decision I have ever made for myself. I am feeling WONDERFUL just seven days later. I went out for a short walk today. I am 15lb down and I'm geting very creative with my food.I feel blessed that I did not have any complications with surgery and so far so good U of M WLS team was GREAT! they have been such a big part of my life for the last 4 months they are like family.Glad to be on the losing side..LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!!!!
Vickie
Hi Vickie,
Congratulations on having your surgery. I'm glad all went well. The emotions can get to us at times. I remember when I was 3 days out. I started crying because I didn't want to take my vitamins. I laugh at that one now a days. It just get's better from here ****il you hit a plateau) prepare yourself for that. You are on your way to a healthier, and happier lifestyle.
God bless you,
Annette
