How far out when you hit your first plateau, and how long did it last? I am getting very discouraged here. I haven't lost any weight in over a month. I have even gained a few inches on various body part's. I talked to my nutritionist, who increased my calories, carbs., and protein ~ still nothing! I'm doing what I'm supposed to do, but it isn't working. I don't want to be one of the people that goes through this just to fail...again God bless you all, Annette

I'd say maybe up your movement....walk, even if it's just around the house. I don't remember if you said you had a regimen of some kind, but uping it a little will get it in gear. Also be sure to get in the 64 oz of fluids. Best of luck Annette! Don't get discouraged! It's far from over for you Hugs, Theresa

Hi Theresa, I've been walking 6 miles a day. I got this thing called a fitness flyer(not sure what it is), but it's kind of fun to use (sure wears me out though) and started crunches and sit-ups today. Something has to give here! Thank you. God bless you, Annette

I understand your frustration Annette. I haven't budged in a week. Granted it's not your month, but it's still frustration. I called my surgeons nurse and she also told me I have to meet the 64 oz of water (which I haven't been) the protein (doing ok, could do better), exercise (that's ok so she said to increase my pace) and CALORIES. The dreaded word I've always hated. She says my body is holding on to everything because it's only getting 450/525 calories a day. So I have to find a way to get in more calories. Then she said I should see a big drop. I'll keep you in my prayers! Sheryl In the Zoo 369/325/???

Thank you for the prayers Sheryl. So you're a month out and have started to plateau. That's where I was at when mine started~1 month out. I expected to hit one, just not this soon. At only 450 to 525 calories a day, your body is goining into starvation mode, at least that's what my nutritionist told me. I eat and drink all day long, it's the only way to get it all in. If I don't eat by 7:00 am~then I don't get it in. I can honestly say I never thought I would have a problem with not eating enough God bless you Sheryl, Annette

I'm right there with you Annette!! Hang in there...easier said than done, I know!!! I am 5 months out today and this is the second time I've hit a LONG plateau!! Last time I upped my calories and saw a couple of big losses!! Now here I am again...I've only lost 2 lbs since a few days before Christmas!! VERY frustrating!! I'm exercising every day and I'm now keeping track of what I eat every day so I make sure I'm eating enough calories!!! I get my water and protein in but not enough calories so that must be my problem again!!! Hoping we both see a big loss SOON!!!! Hugs, Cheryl

Thank you Cheryl. How far out were you when you hit your first plateau? Do you remember how long it lasted? How many calories are you taking in now? This is so frustrating! Right now I feel like it's just not going to happen. At this point I would be happy to see the scale move at all. At least it's not moving up again. I guess we'll both have to be patient a bit longer. I'll weigh myself again next Tuesday, and see what happens. Hope we both see loss'es coming our way. God bless you Cheryl, Annette
