I have read everyone's replies to my post and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your support. It does help. I have decided to halt the exercise for a while. Maybe even a couple of more weeks. I have also decided to NOT wear the binder as I drain just horribly when I do. I have not worn it today and have had the same badage on since this morning. The swelling I can deal with better than this draining. We will see what happens tonight. Night time and laying down is the worst for the draining. As soon as I lay down it starts. If I can get it to slow during the day, maybe it will heal faster on the inside and stop. It is just a thought. Thanks again everyone. This board has the best group of people ever. Maybe when all this is over, I will organize a get together as a thank you. Love, Terri

Terri, I think that it is an excellent idea about the exercise & binder. You are still in recovery from a major surgery - an extensive TT. Give yourself time to heal. I don't know if I've mentioned this but my PS doesn't use binders - he feels they inhibit the blood flow & slow healing. And while I'm still swollen, I don't think it's any more than usual (my drains were removed at 2.5 weeks out). So perhaps going without the binder for a few days might help you. Again - sending you major ((((HUGS))) & thinking postive thoughts! Take care Nicole tt/arm lift 12.20.05 -195lbs!

Sorry for all the troubles you're having. I'm in the process of scheduling my TT and it scares me how many people have troubles afterward. Wishing you all the best. Hope your new strategy turns everything around for you.

Hi Terri, I sure hope you can all this behind you soon. Thanks for posting all your updates, it helps me to know how to handle it when i get there. Positive thoughts coming your way. Have you still been losing like you was right after the tt? Hugs Linda

If you do not wear the binder you will allow a gap between your skin and tour fascia/muscle and that will fill with fluid. "Any empty space will fill with fluid" was said to me. Eventually you will absorb it as I did. I suggest you wear it and put a surgical sponge near the drain site to absob the fluid after you drain as much as you can. I am not your doctor and I shouldn't give medical advice other than I would ask your surgeon but I do believe the binder is needed. It is a pain in the ass and I hated it but it worked for me. kp @ goal

Listen to Dr. Kevin! He's the best!! Remember when you first had WLS, and they told you to walk? Even if it's just walking around the house for 5 minutes a day, that would be something, but regular exercise , at least not now!!
