Only 10 pounds left
And I will be at my doctor's goal of losing 80% of my excess weight! I am so jazzed and excited. It has been 9 1/2 months since my surgery and I am down 179 pounds! I cannot believe this! I am still fighting my head demons occasionally and the excess skin is really starting to bother me but my health is so much improved it is unbelievable! I would like to thank all of you for your tremendous support because I don't think I could have done it without all of you!

Tracy,
I am also only 10 pounds from my goal and down 175 pounds. In fact I am in the NORMAL weight catergory for the first time in 27 years. I see my surgeon on Wednesday, just one year from my initial consultation with him, imagine the difference one year can make in ones life. We have so much to be thankful for. I have also had those head demons starting to knaw at me and this excess skin issue is really eating away at me, it effects my ability to exercise, which I never thought would be possible!!! I feel like a bag of bones with a bunch of skin attached at times, my friend says I look like a sharpei puppy. I am embarassed at times to go to the public pool with all the leg wrinkles that I have, so I have started back to my "old body" swim time of 6 am where most of the swimmers are either older than dirt and can't see me anyway or just yuppy puppies in to get their swim on and get their day going, and the puppies are just so into themselves they don't look at anyone but themselves in the mirror anyway LOL so they are harmless LOL but going during the evening with all the kids and families draws comments from all ages like "what is wrong with your legs, arms, etc?" so its back to the 6 am time slot from now on until the body firms up a bit or I grow some tougher skin or get some sharper lines for the idiot questioners.
Congrats, on your wonderful work, keep it up, you have had quite a year my dear. Please send us an update on your son as well, he has been in my thoughts quite a bit lately.
Jill
