Pain to right of incision site - hard/hurts
I've already paged the surgeon and I need to go to either Holland or Ypsi to be seen tomorrow.
I'm just scared.
I have a spot a couple inches from my belly button where the skin is hard to the touch and it hurts to touch it. When I bent over to pick something up it was so painful that it brought tears to my eyes.
I've been doing really well - no complications and I've been up and pretty active so this really caught me off guard.
Any thoughts?

(in the black humor section however, I just pulled on a pair of pants I haven't been able to wear for 6 months as they were too tight.)
Hi Misty -
My sister is a doctor (albeit a podiatrist) and did a three year medical residency at Botsford out that direction.
I hadn't bothered her because she does feet. However, Dad called her, she call me and asked a zillion questions. As she stresses, based on not having seen the skin and evaluated me in person, she thinks it's likely to be a seroma and it needs to be drained.
Sounds like tomorrow will be fabulous. I can't hardly wait.
Thanks for posting back.
Best,
Michele P
Michele ~ fwiw, this happened to me too and I was scared to death. Pam R my angel thought it was a seroma and she was correct. I then saw my surgeon and Dr. Pam was so right. I was given the option of waiting to see if my body absorbs it (or sometimes it seeps out if it's under an incision) or have it asperated. I chose to wait.
Hope this helps
