Hey Karryn! Long time no see! You look awesome! Glad to hear about your TT, but I'm getting educated on what to expect when I have mine on Feb. 24. Will keep the Dulcolax and stuff handy. Question for you... when you have this surgery, do you have a period like with the WLS? And do you need to use the tongs for wiping? Just want to be prepared. Were you able to sleep in your bed at home immediately after coming home, or was a lazy chair better? Thanks for the info.

Hey Nancy ...
Thanks for the compliments! Congrats on getting a date for your TT. Seriously .. keep Dulcolax right by your bedside ... I can't tell you how hard the first night home from the hospital was ... I was already constipated and trying to get that out of me post TT, back lift, thigh lift and arms done was a near death experience. No need for tongs .. it's pretty easy to wipe and take care of personal hygiene. Complicate the surgery with the fact that I got my period the night after the surgery .. GROSS ... like I wanted to deal with that .. but, no worries .. you can take care of yourself just fine. Sleeping has been a problem .. but, thanks to everyone suggesting pillows ... I sleep on 10 pillows - in all various places ... and it gets comfy after awhile .. but, talk about a sore butt. You only have one position to lay in .. so beware. I have a recliner and a lounge chair ... laden with pillows .. and I vascillate betweeen the two. I haven't sleep in my bed as of yet ... and it's been a week today that I went in for the surgery ... Be prepared .. the pain is pretty intense. I haven't stood straight up yet. The gas pain is horrific ... so try to stay low on carbs (suggested by Terri) and just drink tons of water ... because you don't want the gas pain on top of the other pain! Ok .. e nough for me .. I have to get back downstairs ... Vicodin is my best friend ... Good luck and congrats on all your success. I know we will love our new bodies as soon as we can get beyond the pain! haha ... Happy day!
