I am a Micro Poucher and I would do it again in a heartbeat.. I will be 1 year out Feb 24th and I am down 130lbs. I have to update my pic I am about 30 Lbs lighter then my most recent pic. CORI has been fine for me I trusted Doc Wood he is an expert and a founding member of his field. You will be fine. Good Luck Paul

I am a micro poucher too. And I would not have changed the decision I made. I had good and bad experiences with Cori. The billing dept did an excellent job for me because I never had to fight whatsoever about coverage or denial. I had trouble with the office staff, the nurses, and the dr always being overbooked. My surgeon has since left CORI, Thank god!!! I love him very much but it was starting to get painful to see him at the CORI office. Suzanne 300/161/150

Hi Amy, Dr. Wood performed my micropouch 7.22.05 and it's official, as of yesterday... I've lost 100 lbs. It was the best decision I've ever made and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Don't get me wrong it has been a huge adjustment. I am still working out the "kinks." But overall, the benefits totally out weigh the issues. Please feel free to email me if you would like to talk further. Good luck!!! Mary

This surgery not only saved my life but gave it back to me entirely. Before, I was just existing, unable to function or enjoy anything without pain and tiredness. Nowl life is different. For me, it wasn't about how I looked, but about the ability to take care of myself since I am alone. Yep, clothes are smaller, shopping is easier, but I can move, walk, carry...easily and without having to calculate whether I can or not. As for CORI, I had some problems with their staff but never with the surgeons. I have not had a need to see anyone for awhile and my job changed insurance companies which essentially excludes me from seeing anyone out of Ohio, but Dr. S. did an awesome job and even when I had to wait for hours or couldn't connect via phone, I knew they were there for the important stuff. Just another viewpoint. Best wishes....and the nerves are normal, believe me. I won't ever forget the days leading up to my date and the weeks following it. The people in this board will see you through! Maryalice 130 pounds lighter and holding

hi amy i as well have the micro pouch i just had my surgey on dec 27,05 i'm doing great and i have my first appt. today to see if i lost any weight and to get out my jp drain and some staples..hurray! I had dr. kole at cori and he is a great dr. the hospital is great only problem i had was getting ice chips as soon as i wanted them but other wise the staff is great. I was very nervious as, i even told the dr. when i was in the operating room i was gonna jump off the table and run.. he just laughfed and told the nersus to lock the doors and sidate me fast..it was a wonderful experience so far.. recovery is not bad, took the pain meds for one days and have not taken them sence. i feel great i had my first egg this morning ate about 1 table spoon and was full did not puke so i feel lucky.. my advice is drink lots of water, and give your self time everything will be ok. by the way i weighed 354 just before surgery just so you know ... good luck
