My DR Visit

Ok...I chickened out and did not tell him of my Tylenol scare. I figured it would do no good really. I also told my Mom to keep her mouth shut in the room(which she did).....Bad Terri I know. I learned my lesson and just did not need another lecture. So, he said everything looks good. He gave me a home remedy for my belly button problem. I have to do this nasty business twice a day. I have to leave the drains for another 7 days....BOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! I do understand why though. I am ok with it. He said I show no sign of infection, so the fever is my usual thing after surgery. It irritates the crap out of me. I have been fine since New Years Eve with no fever or anything. Then, all of a sudden, it shoots up tonight. Grrrrr. I will have to deal until these drains come out. I know the drill. My fever will spike high the next day after they take them out and then be gone until I have to have surgery again. My body just hates having strange objects in it and protests with fever. So, I am just resting and enjoying a bunch of movies I have not seen. Here are my current recommendations(I have way too much time on my hands): The Island-Excellent Sci fi if you are into that sort of thing. We loved it. The Devils Rejects-Only the VERY strong stomach can handle this one. I almost could not. If you can stick it out, it is worth it. Very gory and disturbing. The Butterfly Project-Do not ask me why I never saw this. I jus****ched it tonight and loved it. The 40 Year Old Virgin-One of the funniest movies I have ever seen. So anyway, that is my update. Are you sick to death of me yet? Terri

Terri Not sick of you. You are giving us all that have not had the TT yet an opportunity to see what to expect or learn from your experience. I am so glad that the dr visit went well. Sometimes I dont tell everything when I go in either. LOL I do my best. Glad to hear you are well. Suzanne

Terri: glad to hear that your doctor appt.went so well. So to hear about keeping your drain.....I was so relieved to have it out. I had my TT a week before you....and now have a infection, so count your blessings. Tracey

Thanks for the update Terri! I was wondering about your visit. That sounds just like you not to tell the Dr. of your tylenol scare...but you're right...what good would it do anyway at this point. But it made me laugh, you making your Mom keep quiet! As for the movies, I got in a mood the other night too and rented three movies and watched them all in a row! I haven't rented movies I bet for at least a year, but got an itch to, so...I also rented 40 year old virgin and laughed my head off! I never saw the others you saw, but I'm not one for that kind of stuff. The others I rented were okay...obviously not great, cuz I can't even remember the names of them! Comedies, but not main stream ones. Well, glad you are doing better Terri! Hope that fever leaves you soon! Theresa

terri.. Glad you're doing better! As you know, i had tt/arm lift on 12.20. Can I ask how much your drains are putting out? I have a post-op appt tomorrow to get my arm stiches out & maybe my drains. One drain is less than 30cc's in 24 hours but the other has been at 40-45cc's in 24 hours (my surgeon's cut off is 30cc). I have a feeling that I'm going to have these lovely drains for another week! UGH!! thanks, nicole
