Update on David

Hi all, sorry this has taken so long but out computer died right after David's surgery so did not have access till we bought a new one. David came home on Friday May 12. Unfortunately on Sunday he became ill, with vomiting and abdominal pain while I was at work. He talked with Dr. Tomita and followed his instructions at that time. When I got home at 8 am. He seemed to be doing ok but was dry. At 1130 his pain had returned and tylenol would not relieve it. He took 7.5 cc's of the vicodan and immediately began vomiting again. So called Dr. and we went to ER. They found that he had an ilius and was dehydrated. So was admitted and stayed till Tuesday. They were able to relieve the ilius with dulcolox suppository's and milk of mag once they rehydrated him. He is doing great now and has been walking every day at least 3 times and Dr. cleared him for our stationary recumbent bicycle. So he is getting plenty of exercise and is now on full liquids and is sipping, sipping, sipping. Total weight loss is 37# so far, 4# since surgery. Brenda, thanks for the update. I was wondering how David was doing. Sounds like he is heading on the right track. It is going to be grea****ching him lose his weight. He is lucky to have such a great wife. See you at work and at the next meeting. Best wishes to you both Megan
