Yet ANOTHER prorein question???
Honestly I bought a flavored whey powder that was recommended by CORI and it made me WAY TOO FULL. I am talking I could barely eat OR drink anything else for the day! Well at my 6 week check I asked about Isopure Zero Carb. I was told it is a good one to drink and to go ahead and get some. Well 20oz has 40g of protein. I just alternate it between glasses of water and it is GREAT! It still counts toward you liquid intake for the day so that is good too. It comes in like 6 flavors and GNC has it on sale until the end of June *I think thats what they said!* for 2.63 each. Just wanted to throw an idea out there if you find after surgery you can't tolerate Whey protein.

I can tell you I've tried almost every protein powder on the market. First and most importantly remember this - your tastes will change after surgery. It happens to most all, so what you may like now, doesn't mean you'll like it post-op.
That said, almost everyone I've come across (including myself) have liked Unjury. They have chocolate, strawberry, vanilla and unflavored. I have found it to be the most user friendly (stirs in easily... blends well, not a nasty after taste etc) and palatable protein. If your NUT doesn't have samples for you, go to unjury.com and order a sample packet.

Simone,
I do go to the CORI groups although I haven't been since the surgery. The first was the day I came home from the hospital, the last one I was out of town. I'm planning on being there Wednesday night. I know that you probably won't be there for that one, it's the night before your surgery.
E-mail me your name and I'll try to get down to visit while you're there. The gym I joined is BRAZA at Rehab and I need to get down there. It's convient when I'm working but not when I'm recouperating.
