Blessings from OH.com Members....

I just want to acknowledge some folks who have truly made a difference in my life and what they are contributing to my world as a WLS patient. First and foremost, to the actual website for allowing me to meet such great people who are sharing their stories so that I can learn and grow. Second, to Dorothy Brown, who I met a while back and we became really great friends. I'd like to thank Toni Reese and Alirae for meeting me in Bay City last week even though my visit with the surgeon was rotten, they made the trip successful in meeting new faces and seeing how they are doing and we got a chance to talk. I want to thank Erin G from Midland, for creating a possibility in my life I never dreamed of ...Just when I thought my battle with seeing another plastic surgeon was over, I took on getting out there and contacting other people and made an appointment with Dr. DiNick at Barix in Ypsilanti, dreading the drive. However, I learned later that I don't have to ride it alone because Erin is going to see him too, and our appointments are 1/2 hour apart, and we live less than 1/2 hour apart. HOW COOL IS THAT??? I want to just thank those *****spond to my posts, Phyllis, Linda, Debbie (you will win girl!) and so many others. I've listened to your advice....oh yea, and Dr KP...mr flabby himself....lmao. I'm still listening even though sometimes I don't prove it. I just felt ACKNOWLEDGING all of you for what you contribute not only to MY life, but to MANY others out there, and to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing a personal event in your life. Stacey, You deserve all the encouragment you can get. You have worked hard in your WLS journey and are a role model for me for when I start mine( soon, June 14th at MMPC). I so aprreciate all the great advice you have given on this board. It really helps us who have not yet had our surgeries, for all of you who have gone before us to share valuable info, it is a priceless gift. For myself, I can say to you, and everyone who has encouraged me and shared on this board, Thank You, I have soaked it all in like a sponge. Hugs, Phyllis Gilbert

I'll second that! I can't imagine how crazy I would go not having OH friends to turn to! My only regret is that I did not "meet" you all sooner!! This surgery as a gift... an AWESOME amazing gift that we have all been Blessed with. Cheers to all of you who have gone before and from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your willingness to share and be honest about this experience! Brandee
