Really wow moment!
I took my boys out to eat last night and left them for a few minutes to go next door and buy some pants. When I got back my son who makes friends everywhere, had made a new friend. I heard him ask my son, "Is that your sister?"
My son looked really freaked out and said "no it's my mom!" I laughed and told him not to blow it for me!!
Now that was great! I'm 37 so it made me feel really good to hear that! It wasn't too long ago last year that someone asked me if I was my kids grandma!!

WOW, moments are great!!! I have had a few of my own while shopping with my daughter for her wedding gown. I have been asked if I was the bridesmaid, the maid of honor, but alas I am the mother of the bride.
I never really get off on sizes since they can be so deceiving, and after all they are just numbers in the inside of MY clothes no one sees them, but I was so very pleased to be fitted into a size 10 ballgown for my daughters wedding, that is a very far cry from the former size 28 that I would have had to try to squeeze in before. Then finding a dress at a sample sale and only paying $20 bucks for a $400.00 dress hey life is good, I certainly didn't see any size 28 samples.
If anyone wants the information about where I went for the samples let me know I will be happy to fill you in. This place also has used bridal gowns and formal wear in all sizes, I will be happy to point you in the right direction.

It might be a bit of a drive for ya but it only took two trips for me to find exactly what I needed. They have a ton of dresses on the $20.00 rack in assorted sizes some new, some samples, some used. I look at it this way, you wear these kind of dresses what maybe once, twice at the most so why in the world would you throw away a ton of money. I think the dress I have on in my picture is a vintage gown that I got in Royal Oak at a place called Paris...its on 4th Street by Main in RO. This gown is floor length black velvet 1960's Vintage made in France...cost $140.00 worth...a million bucks as I wore it into the Red Carpet Party and watched the faces drop of those who said I would never ever be thin again in my lifetime..hmmpft what do they know.I wore it again this weekend for a concert at the Fox and got more than my fair share of envious looks from my former co-workers backstage. teehee Now as for the wedding dress....I got that at ...
