New Downriver Group's first get together!!!

It's that time, everyone! Thursday, the 18th, at the Big Boy at Southland Mall...7pm. Please remember to bring a pre-op photo with you if you're a post-op, and any guest(s) you would like to. We'll have a good time meeting each other, chatting and making our plans. Looking forward to meeting everyone ! If you feel so inclined, please feel free to e-mail me that you're coming, it will give me an idea of how many seats we need when Larry and I get there (early, I hope) and put in our names & group #. I am new to this forum, But i think this is a very nice jesture that everyone meets up and chat. I would love to come but i can't do malls yet. I haven't had my surgery yet iam just getting approved , My back be killing me and i can't stand for a long time. But maybe after i get approved and have my surgery i'll be able to make it. Hi Yvonne! I don't know how you feel about going out to Chelsea, but we meet out there on the first Friday night of each month...you know what, I think the Westland area group meets on Friday nights, too! Annette is the one who usually posts for that group. Annette Lewis, I believe...that would be great for you! But you're more than welcome to visit us in Chelsea/Ann Arbor. Our new Downriver group hasn't exactly decided what night we're going to meet on a regular basis, so you can watch for posts about that, too. There are plenty of us getting together and would love to have you join in! Lizzie B

I will be there on Thursday. I have been looking forward to it all week. I dont know if I can find to many pre-op pictures of me becasue I most of them. After a while I could not take looking at my self in pictures. Take care and see you Thursday

Hi Lizzie B- I am a new member and will hopefully be having surgery this summer. I was looking for a support group in the Downriver area- I live in Brownstown. Is this group just for gastric bypass patients? I will be having the Lap-Band procedure done. I also have a friend that will be having the GB on July 6 and she is interested also. Any info that you could provide would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Chris :-)
