Thanks-referring me to Dr. Ron Barry

So I've had a crappy morning....being on the phone with BCBS of Michigan and being on the phone with that "idiot" plastic surgeon I saw last week.......... I followed the recommendations of several of you fine folks and contacted Dr. Ron Barry's office in Saginaw. After exlaining in DETAIL my history, back pains, fractures, what Dr. Komorowski said, what BCBS of MI said about the diagnosis code (decline, decline, decline) and what I explained about having WLS......... I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT ON JUNE 19TH AT 4PM. Whether or not this will be to my advantage I do not know but I just wanted to say THANKS because HIS office was MUCH nicer and kinder and seemed willing to make it a possibility rather than CRUSHING ME DOWN TO PURE DUST. Take that Komorowski!!!!!!!!!!! MUCH HAPPIER AND NO LONGER EATING A DONUT!!!!!!!!!! (no, i didn't really!) Stacey W

hey Stacey, Good for you girl. I just saw Dr. Barry today as a matter of fact for steroid injections for my tt scar. He and his wife Joann are such wonderful, caring people. They belong to my church too so I am a little biased. That is one of the reasons I chose him because I know he is a christian man who is really out there to help people. Please tell him that I was one of the ones *****ferred you ok. I think I'm up to 3 or 4 now that I referred and they all have had positive results. Susan Rohn

Geeze then my boss walks in, his wife had WLS at Barix in Ypsilanti, he said "CALL THEM". So I did. I got an appointment with Dr. DiNick at 1pm on May 27th. Holy cow wow this is happening like blessings from the sky! Yep, I'll tell Barry that you recommended me. I'm gonna GIT ER DONE somehow!!!!!!!!! then I promise, I wont post pictures of the finished work Stacey

Stacey, I am glad you kept your chin up and didn't let Dr. K. keep you down. Good for you for sticking with this. I am proud of you. I am quite sure you will find Dr. Barry very accomodating. He is a very kind man. I feel in my heart Susan is right on, he will treat you with the respect you deserve. Additionally, I know his work is very good. I did learn a few things today. PATIENCE. I have little when it comes to rude office people at surgeon's offices who hide information from me. DIAGNOSIS CODE: that the surgeon has the ability to place the code however they see fit to determine if the insurance will indeed cover the procedure. Dr Komorowski placed a code that BCBS would not cover no way no how, however several other surgeon's did not feel that way. I have not been diagnosed with Osteoporosis, my PCP called today therefore I have to seek treatment and it comes without saying that the excess skin isn't making anything easier on me. Oh I plan to keep my fight going strong, thanks to much support on here and the response to my "anger hostile" posting earlier sure did open my eyes up to possibility instead of defeat. So thanks all of you I'm truly thankful
