I need your help yet again....
OK, now the insurance company is having a grievance committee meeting regarding my case on Thursday. I am being allowed to call in and be on speaker phone (they are located in Wisconsin) to be part of the meeting. I am terrified. I know a couple of you have had the "final appeal" and have went and stood before them and/or called in yourself. What can I expect? What kinds of questions will they be asking me? I want to get all my ducks in a row this week and be prepared for the questions come Thursday. Any advise, word of wisdom will be greatly appreciated. Also, I need all your prayers. Thanks in advance.

It's too bad you can't be there for this. I did go through this so maybe i can help. First of all, they give you time to talk and say whatever you need to say about why you need wls. I wrote a "speech" and if you want i can email you that. I cried while talking, i was soooo nervous. anyway when i finished talking they started asking me questions.......you must be very educated on wls, have your goals written down and in front of you when you talk to them or your mind will go blank.....know everything you can about any comorbidities you have, how damaging they are to you and how they affect your life and your family's life. Have any and all meds you take written down and in front of you too, and make sure you tell fo all the side effects of them and how damaging they can be in the long run...make sure to let them know how being obese effects your everyday life, personally and professionally. The whole thing is to be prepared when they ask you questions....the one question i remember is "why do you think this is going to work for you if nothing else did?"
