Hernia Question

I know people have posted this question before, but what does a hernia feel and look like? I am having a pain in my abdomen, on the right side near my belly button. Sometimes it is just a dull ache while at others, if I move a certain way, I feel a sharp "pulling" pain. I'm afraid it is a hernia although I know it could be a pulled muscle. I press on the area and I don't feel a "lump" or anything. I've had this problem for a week now. Any ideas? Thanks, Diane

I don't know what one feels like......but I have the exact same symptions as you are describing, but mine is on the right upper part of my inscision. I hope someone posts so we can find out if it is a hernia. I HOPE NOT! Kristin
