Totally Shocked!

Just Curious, was anyone as shocked as I was with the outcome of American Idol last night. I felt that the guys did the best, I really thought Kat would be going home. I have to think that Chris was quite shocked himself by the look on his face when it was announced. Have a wonderful day everyone. Stacy

I was shocked too....figured it was Kat, but she is an awesome singer too. At this point, it was hard to see ANY of them go. I like them all! My fav is Taylor though...has been from the start, although I did vote for Elliott 5 times because he did such a great job Tuesday night! May the best man/woman win! P.S. Chris I'm sure has a record deal already as we speak, and he probably won't be as limited as if he were the "American Idol", so this may be a blessing in disguise! Theresa

I am totally in shock too, I thought for sure he had it wrapped up. If you look back at our old posts about AI, I think you will find that Theresa and I picked the Top 5 awhile back, I missed it by one week, I voted for Ace and not for Paris!!! Now the biggest questions I have are. 1. Can Americans give Taylor the chance he deserves, can we simply listen to him and not see the performance that always goes along with his apperance??? He is such a showman, I think that could actually hurt him in some ways, people need to be able to listen to cd's or the ipod, you cant see HIM on those things. 2. Will Kat ever get her lyrics right??? Good God Girl learn the lyrics you can't even make it on Broadway without the lyrics. 3. Elliott-still cant get over his grill needing work so badly--- maybe he will get that stuff fixed if he wins. It is about the looks as much as the talent!!! Just my thoughts about the whole thing....I think Chris will get the better contract of all of them, I will miss him. Jill

Actually I was not shocked at all, but disappointed. I don't think a rocker will ever win it and it is sad. Unfortunately, there are many more country and pop fans than rock fans (I am a rock fan but know this to be true working in the music business). I think that is why Carrie won last year over Bo and why Chris is gone. He was, by far, the best singer of them all imo. I will miss him!!!

First I want to say that I do not have any favorites and I think all 5 of the singers are great. I was expecting Kat to be eliminated only because it was predicted in the news. I did think it was unfair to base her on this weeks Elvis theme, just as it would be unfair to base the guys singing ability if it was a Bette Midler theme week. I would like to see Kat at least get runner up as I like her singing style. Janice
