Had surgeon consult today

Everything went great. I have my medical clearance appoint on May 22, oh my god, this could really happen. I still have to have a psych eval, Wanda is working on getting it out of Behavioral Medicine instead of with the same group that denied me. Please god hear my prayers. I loved Dr. Genaw. He is cool. spent alot of time with me and my DH. Very impressive man. I have to lose another 17 pounds before surgery and keep it off of course. I went ahead and set up my next appt with Dr. Genaw for June 9th. I hope I'm not setting myself up for failure. We'll see. Cheryl

Cheryl, We looked for you today. Leighsa has all her appointment the same day as you! It would be nice for you two to have surgery the same day. Dr. Genaw is super. He was originally suppose to do my surgery but cut a tendon in his hand so Dr. Carlin had to do the surgery. I felt like I had 2 for the price on 1! They both are so caring. Nancy, It would be super to have a surgery buddy. Your appt today was right before mine. Gosh, we were there for a total of 2 1/2 hours. You tell Leighsa we will have to see what happens. How much weight does she have to lose before surgery? Cheryl

That is so awesome Cheryl I am happy to see that you are finally going to be able to have your surgery. You are a figher and will not fail for sure. I truely beleive that Dr Genaw office will help you with the psych eval and that you will pass the exam and be able to have the procedure. Tricia

Sheryl this is so exciting. I am so very happy for you. You will do this. You are not going to fail. You are such a fighter, that you won't let yourself fail. These Dr's. are wonderful and truely understanding. As long as you are trying, and they know if you are then they will work with you. You can do this Sheryl! Did you get the swim suit from Annette? I'm so glad that everything went great for you. I remember the first time I met Dr. Genaw, he really liked my shirt! I decided on Dr. Genaw because I wanted a no nonsense surgeon. He is understanding, but not a fluff or a push over and will tell you like it is. I wish you the best!
