Just curious, has anyone had LAP RNY with Dr. Hendricks?

Ive heard he is a good surgeon, but it doesn't seem he has done too many lap procedures. Any thoughts?

I am a patient with Dr. Hendrick. I saw him intially to have LAP Band and after analyzing me he said I would do better with OPEN RNY due to my size at the time. I was at 300 pounds. Dr. Hendrick is a wonderful surgeon and has the best bedside manner out of any doctor I have ever met. Upon my first meeting with him he told me that once I was his patient I was his patient for life. As long as I did everything he asked of me, he would work his hardest for me. I am one of his success stories. I have lost 150 pounds and I am 16 months out. I recently went in to film a commerical for his practice as well. I believe in him whole heartedly and I cannot say enough nice things about him as a doctor or a person. He genuinely cares about you. I would meet with him to see what he thinks is the best bet for you. If you have over 100 pounds to lose, he will more than likely suggest the RNY because of amount of weight you have to lose.
