Hello All - first of all, let me announce that I just came from my two week post-op appointment, and the scales say I've lost 30 pounds so far. I'm feeling pretty good about that. But today was also the day the MMPC nutrionist progressed me to the next level of foods. They recommended buying Beneprotein, but one of the ladies in the room also suggested buying the protein powder from Healthy Harvest because they have a higher protein count. So, I bought the Soy Protein Powder from Harvest Health, but it looks HORRID! Before I bust this bag open - has anyone else used this stuff - and are there are secrets I need to know as far as how to get it stirred in good - and to make sure I don't really know that stuff is in my food??

Hello Tarra! First let me tell you I know nothing about that brand. However the unjury is Wonderful! The unflavored mixes in really smooth and it is pretty tasteless. I mix it with orange sf koolaid and it tastes just like koolaid! No nasty smell or taste and I hate most protein. It is at unjury.com and it is pricey, but sooooo worth it! And congrats on the 30 lbs!!! You are doing great! I am so happy when someone does well with this! Wendy

If you want to have something that tastes as good as it smells, try the Snytrax Nectar Proteins. I love the Lemon Tea and the Tealicious, There are other flavors too and I found them at http://www.buyritenutrition.com and they are reasonable and have 23 grams of protein per scoop!

Actually, I was looking for something with no taste or smell that I could add to my food...however, I may give this a try...i'm willing to try just about anything to keep my hair from falling out! By the way...I just made a serving of veggies and put the Soy Protein Powder on it...I don't taste it...but I definitely see it, which is screwing with my head. Every time I take a bite, I frown because I'm waiting to see if I can taste the powder...lol.

I'm feeling great (except for the fact that I'm going back to work tomorrow . Thanks for thinking of me...things have been going very well. The first week post-surgery was not my favorite week, but once I got past that first week, I felt like I was 'me' again - with a smaller stomach

I know what you're talking about as far as the hair loss, and I'm taking a mega dose of Biotin. I got it at Walmart and got the 5000mg bottle, so I only have to take one a day. I did take the 1500mg and just took two of them. The cost is less than $6 if memory serves me right.

Tarra - I've tried nearly all soy proteins out there and They don't blend well at all and they taste NASTY. I agree about the Unjury. Great stuff! Sheryl In the Zoo

Tell me EXACTLY how you feel about the soy protein powder. I didn't taste the soy protein powder in my food today, but I know the fact that I can see it is going to be a problem. I think I am going to have to try something else...thank goodness the bag that I bought didn't cost that much. (less than $4)
