Yes, I am excited to start pureed foods saturday.  I have heard how the rate of loss really varies, so i am not feeling discouraged.  I only lost 1.5 lbs this week, but i think it will pick up.  My BMI was 31 so I expect it to happen slower.  I have found myself chewing food and spitting it out when i walk past the stove....lol at least i spit it out but it tasted good.  One thing that is helping me is to avoid food situations.  Im not eating eith coworkers and family.  I dont go to the restaurant with them, and i go upstairs for dinner.  I think once i can have some food i wont have to do that any more

OMG... I swear that is the struggle! We were in TJ and all the wonderful food smells! And your in mexico and cannot have an authentic taco: ( buuuut... to many tacos along with other bad foods got me to where I am today. I totally can relate we have one more of broth.. water.. soup.. jello and I feel like I'm dying. I cannot wait for soft food! Good news though I'm down like 22 lbs from my highest weight until today! I'm very very very happy about that and my spouse is down 50 pounds. He already looks so different, me not so much but he already had to buy new pants today!

Keep up the good work lindsayraec323 you WILL get there even if it's going slow right now. It will get easier I keep telling myself that :)

Other doctors hijacked his website  is what i was told.  You need to go to the drjoyaofficial website.   Im not exactly sure if thats it but pretry sure. Drjoya.com is not right.  When you ask for information you will talk to nathalie balltilat...orr something like that.  Also the location is amerimed hospital in puerto vallarta.  Almost 3 weeks out, and i feel very good, no nausea, vomiting,  or any complications.  Some heart burn though.  I think you will be pleased with this doctor, staff, and facilities

I hope everything went well for you.  I am doing good, losing slowly.  I still want to eat, but it only bothers me when i see the food.  I still crave food, but i think ill be better when i start pureed and have a bigger variety of tastes and food

Topic: Why w.l.s. is so important to me.

Well where to start. For me surgery was so important because I have a few kids and they where growing up with out a mother and I say that because due to my weight. I was enabled to move to much for the pain in my ankles, back and knees. They would go to the play ground and want me to run with them play ball or just lay in the grass. IMPOSSIBLE. So I knew that I had to do some thing with my life before my kids grew up and missed their mom the whole time just for my weight. So I started to study and hard on diet pill ect... have have done and tried every thing just does not work. So then I started to go more with a realistic idea looking into W.L.S. and then started to study all the option and all kind of different W.L.S. and then study witch one was going to be best for me. And then once I had decided on what surgery I wanted I had to start looking into doctors. And not just that like most of us we are self pay patients and have to look were is best to have surgery RIGHT.... So when I was studying doctors I found one that really just cough my eye he is from Mexico and he had a proctor in Johnson and Johnson we was a general for Tijuana and has even done residence surgery here in the states so i had really liked that. So I had surgery in Tijuana Mexico and with Dr. Sergio Quinones him and his staff treated my like a queen. I really do mean that from the first min that I got into the van from the airport tell the day I left to go back to the states. The staff and the coordinator are so down to earth and very caring on how one feels. So that was my experience and I hope that it can help people that are looking into surgery or just thinking on how to get back your health.

Hi Lindsay, I hope you are recovering nicely. I saw where you had surgery with Dr. Joya recently. A friend of mine also had surgery with him several years ago. She highly recommended him. I'm having trouble finding him. He comes up under a couple of different centers. Can you tell me where you found him please. Wishes for a speedy and continued recovery.

Topic: Back to running

I finally got back to running their was a while that I started to get lazy but my health is very impotent to me and I did not get this surgery to start going back to old habits. I had got this surgery mainly for my kid watching them grow up and not be able to do any thing with them witch now they are so amazed in how much I have changed physically and emotionally and in the energy. But has the time has been going by I have come to relies that this was also for me when I got out of the depression that I was in I became to relise that you have to love you self before any thing. I have changed so much I wish that I would have always thought and feel as good as I do know.

The truth is I think that if I would have felt so good about myself I probably would have never got the surgery so I believe that every thing does happen for a resin. And this is the best choice I could have made. I think that if you want this surgery and are not sure you should get it it will be the best choice you have ever had you will fell so good about your self you will be happy that you did it. And if  you are looking for a good surgeon I would so recommend mine. I can not say to much about other doctors because I have no idea I have studied my for so long and down to the T and I like what I have read about him and what he is all together. So back to running I can get a little carried away. So I started walking 15min then I got to the point where I was walking 30min then 45 then started to run 15 and so on and so on.

I have so much more energy when I run in the morning I feel great. I recommend that if you have surgery and want to start running take it easiey it is not as easieyas to when you were 15 years old hahah it takes a little by little.

I went directly through Dr. Kelly's office. It was all inclusive with the exception of your air fare. Good luck! Message me if you would like his number.  Linda
