I had my surgery with Dr. Fernando Garcia of Tijuana Bariatrics in October 2014. Regardless of who you choose in Mexico, I would recommend that you have a doctor close to home to follow up with you. I am down more than 100 lbs and loving it. I have minimal scarring and would recommend Dr. Garcia. He is now doing surgeries at a newer hospital than he was when I had my surgery so it would do me no good to describe the hospital to you. Whomever you choose, research the heck out of them and good luck to you.
I as just approved to have my VSG, so excited! Looking for some positive feedback from current or former patients.
I had a really positive experience! 1 year post op and I haven't had any pain or gas! I am 125 pounds and I highly recommend him as a surgeon!! I had a really great recovery, some days I didn't really believe I had a surgery Bcuz I felt the same! However the weight and inches started falling off! I am very thankful for my journey! I walk 5 miles every morning and I will be getting a tummy tuck and butt lift in July! I don't have much loose skin at all! Good Luck!
I am considering surgery with Dr Quinones, how did ur surgery go, how was ur experience?
I have been on a few forums for some while now I want to have surgery I just have so many questions it is not the same doing research then here it from people that have truly had surgery their self's. So I have seen so a lot of post here from ojosverdes she is always talking about Dr.Quinones and it sound like he or she has had a good experience with this man. Has any body has surgery with this doctor. And if so how was your experience?
Check out his profile that lists reviews, you might want to read through those to see if anyone mentions the process they went through to pay and how their experience was. You have some valid concerns and definitely need to get some answers.
Good luck!

I saw your post earlier and I too thought she was being aggressive. Just let it go, some people aren't happy unless they are making somebody else miserable. I appreciate your references to Dr. Q, I'm seeing him next Monday.....scared but excited.
Keep up the good work!

It's not about losing weight.....it's about gaining confidence too. It's not about shrinking in size, it's about growing in strength
Hey y'all! I've just decided I want to get VSG. My insurance won't cover in the states so I've decided to go to Mexico. Honestly, I feel pretty confident about it, but I'm still nervous about a few things.
First, anyone hear of Dr. Jesus Lopez Dominguez? Personal experiences with him?
Second, I'm looking about going through Bariatric Pal MX. They seem pretty great-- a good mix of inclusive and affordable. Any reviews or experiences?
Lastly, I am a 21 year old college student have very little money. I make minimum wage (as a Resident Assistant) so I can't cover the costs on my own. I'm a little nervous to take out a loan but I don't know how else I could pay. Any reputable companies that give loans you would recommend? Bariatric Pal recommends United Medical Credit. Any info on this company. I just do NOT want to get scammed.
Any help would be so appreciated.
I appreciate your honesty and all your post. I am still trying to decide on a surgeon and it's nice to have the information about your experience with your doctor. Thank you! Keep posting and keep up the good work!
