I would simply call doctors from the phone book and ask or post on whatever surgery board you are having for a recommendation in St. Louis. You will definitely need the support when you get home; I know from experience. Good luck to you.
This was my doctor, although I had the sleeve with him in October 2014. I am 110 lbs down and would like to lose the last 20 lbs, but struggling to do so. Even though I have not made my goal, I would not trade being 110 lbs down for anything. I am loving life now. You will not regret your decision. I hear that Dr. Garcia is doing surgery at a different, nicer, hospital than when I had surgery, so you are good to go. You are in good hands. Good luck to you.
Two weeks ago I was able to put a deposit down on getting Roux-en-y surgery in Mexico with Dr. Fernando Garcia. I was going back and forth between the sleeve and roux-en-y. I finally decided that if I was going to do it I needed to do the one that had typical results relative to my own goals. I am 29 years old, just had my second and last child 7 months ago. I have been over weight my whole life. During my second pregnancy I was unfortunate enough to have gestational diabetes and even worse it didn't go away and turned into full on diabetes. I have two young children, I want to be healthy for them, and I feel like this is my only hope. I have started walking more attempting to lower my BMI to lower my cost. So I'm excited and my surgery date can't come soon enough!
If anyone has had surgery with Dr. Fernando Garcia, I'd love to hear your experience!
How do I find a dr in the US to follow up with me if I have roux-en-y in Mexico? I could not travel back and forth to mexico many times....I'm in St. Louis, MO
I had mine with Dr Camelo, and his company Quality Medical Facilitators, they dont schedule many patients at the same time, they offer personalized service, and belived me THEY DO!
When I was in Tijuana, I saw how big companies had so many patiens at the time, and its like you were on a Tour, but you are not, you are having surgery!!
I paid my surgery in cash, but they aloud me to pay a deposit to save my slot for 90 days, so I had time to save a litle bit more. ;)

I had surgery with Dr. Maytorena in Tijuana. It was only $3000. The center wasn't exactly spacious or luxurious, but everything went well and I've had no complications!
I used Dr Quinones in Tijuana at Pompeii Sugical, they have in house financing. They are awesome team and everything went very smoothly with my VSG 2 weeks ago.

I had sleeve surgery in October 2014 with Dr. Fernando Garcia. I have minimal scarring and think he did a good job overall. I would suggest that if you have surgery in Mexico, that you go ahead and line up a doctor close to home that you can follow up with. Good luck to you.
thinking I need this surgery done to be there for my girls and not feel tired all the time and eating when I am depressed because I can't do much with them. I know every weight loss goal is different and mine might seem small but if I keep going the way I am ill just get worse. I need to do something now. Please any recommendations are helpful... I can afford Mexico, not us. :/
