I did it. I've booked my flight and sent the reservation to Quiones. I pray I am doing the right thing and will have a safe surgery in Mexico.
How was having surgery in a different country for you?
Did you have a good experience, did the doctors treat you good and was the hospital, facility clean?
Do the granules dissolve completely? And thanks I will take your advice never heard of the chap stick but will definitely take that as well. I could see were we are going to need that seince we will not be able to keep as hydrated as we usually do.
I am considering revision surgery with Dr. Rodriguez in Mexico. Can you give an update on how you are doing now?
Thanks
A lot of people suggest chap stick and Gas X strips. I would suggest those things and one addition. When I had my surgery, my coordinator suggested chicken granules, which you can find at just about all large grocery store chains. Since you cannot carry on liquid and need to drink broth both on your first trip and return trip, you can buy a bottled water behind security at the airport and mix it with the chicken granules to make broth. It helped me a lot. Hope this helps. Good luck to you.
Having surgery in a different country than your own is nerve racking; believe me, I know. Good luck to both of you.
I am getting ready to book for the end of May with Quiones. We are looking at flights right now. Please let me know in detail how everything goes. I am nervous, but finally after about 2 years of thinking about it I am going to do it. Any info you have will help me prepare.
I had my surgery on 3.24.2016. I am a month out. My experience was a good one. I have read one bad review, but I can not say my experience was anything like that. I was pickup on time, filled out my paper work and talked to dr quinones, next thing I was going in. He only does 4 a day. The staff was super nice. They have called me once a week to check on me. I didnt pay any money before I went, and told them if I wasnt happy with the look of the place and didnt feel safe, I would be leaving, they said they understood. But everthing was fine. I dont work for them, and I paid my own money, so I have reason to tell you anything but my experience. Going was scary, I went by myself, but again they took such good care of me.
Getting closer and closer to surgery I'm EXCITED do not even have the right words to even explain how I feel. I have been packing everything that is on the list and then some.
I'm a packer so I like to have everything I need. Hope to get good wishes from some of you all that have already had the same experiences as I will be going through so wish me luck and I will keep in touch as the days go by.
