As I continue to research this I've been very impressed with Dr. Wilhelmy and the information they have sent me on revisions, just wanted to pass that along.  Dr. Ramos Kelly and Dr. Corvala are also still at the top of my list.

I went with a friend to Dr. Kelly. Another friend of mine went by herself and had a very positive experience. Dr. Kelly and his team will take excellent care of you! Good luck! Linda :)

Hi, you don't need a passport.  Just take your birth certificate and a driver license.  I've been to Tijuana hundreds of times :)

congratulations!!!

I don't know anything about Dr Kelly... but I just got back from my surgery with Dr Ariel Ortiz, and I went by myself.  No problems whatsoever.  Pickup from the airport was smooth, hotel stuff was all as promised, and my care at the clinic was so good.  Seriously--they really take phenomenal care of you.  Other than just being without someone to talk to while I was recovering in the hotel room, it was a breeze (and I slept most of the time anyway).  And the group who had procedures my same day were so supportive and helpful too!  We all hung out together and made sure we all were ok.  You will be just fine!!!!   Best of luck!  I don't have a single regret... it was a great experience.

*As you can imagine some questions have been asked and answered over and over again.  Check out our FAQ section.  You can find it under Resources, Weight Loss Surgery Questions and Answers.

*If you don't find an answer to your question post it on the forums.

*Post it on your surgery type forum. You are welcome to post it on the main forum but to reach out to those in the know, you want to reach out to those that have had the same procedure as you.

I am one week from having my surgery! Feel great lost 15pounds, moving slow. Dr. Almo and his team were great, my husband was treated just as good as me. You will never see such a clean hospital. All of the doctors that were involved with my surgery came and visited me they are all so kind.

Mi have no regrets and have not had one complication.

I think you need a passport.  Here is a link to the Homeland Security website.

I will be traveling (alone) to have my surgery with Dr. Kelly at the end of the month.  Has anyone else on here gone alone?  Anything I should be concerned about besides the obvious?
