Hi. I have just had my surgery so I don't have any personal experience with plastic surgeons. With that said, Dr Sauceda is very respected on this board. You can do a search for him and will get numerous posts about his work. When the time comes I will probably talk to him about what I need also. Good luck on your search!

Has anyone had Duodenal Switch surgery that has sleep apnea and how did it go and who performed it. Thank you

I don't have sleep apnea but considering sleep apnea is a comorbidities, many ppl who have sleep apnea have the DS every day, with Jo problems.

The weight loss from surgery often cures the apnea.

  • I personally would only recommend Dr. Ungson for a revision.

Topic: Supplemental Insurance Question (Aflac, Colonial, etc)

Has anyone had any success using a supplemental Insurance such as Aflac or Colonial hospital plans?  I have a Hospital plan with Colonial that reimburses me for nights that I have to spend in the hospital.  I have not checked with them yet, but was wondering if anyone has had success with these type policies, since the hospital is out of the country.

Best wishes to you in your research... I had 3 surgeries in Mexico (RNY and 2 rounds of plastics) and all were great experiences... well you know as much as getting cut open can be ;) Hope you will have a similar time of it.

Good Luck to you!
