Topic: RE: Right Dr in Mexico....All on this site seem great

Yes it is challenging researching the surgeons. I have been gradually decreasing my original list of surgeons.

Dr. Garcia is on my list as are a handful of other surgeons.

i have also been looking into the hospitals and so called clinics.

Thanks for your advice.

I was doing so much research I thought my brain would explode. Go to all the forums. Communicate with people about their experiences. I narrowed down my list to 4 or 5, wrote down what I wanted/expected in the Dr. & the facility. Then I gave the list to a friend who is a nurse & asked her to do a little research & give me her opinion. She thought Dr. Garcia was the best choice, & that was my first choice also. That made the decision for me.

The company you are going thru should be able to answer any & all questions. I used Ready4achange.

Topic: RE: Who did the VSG with Dr Fernando Garcia in Tijuana? Could you share your experience please!!!!!

I had revision surgery with Dr. Garcia on 4/3 thru Ready4achange. I had an excellent experience. I never needed a pain pill, except for what I got in the IV. The staff were very attentive, & there was always a Dr. or 2 there all day. I did not need 1/2 of what I brought, but I didn't think to bring a light jacket. I was going from southern FL to MX, who knew it would be cool? . My husband went with me, & he also was impressed with the care. I never used the heating pad or the travel pillow [ to cover incisions on the plane]. I gave my GasX to someone *****ally needed it. My PC asked me to stay 2 extra days just to make sure everything was working, but I felt so good that I left on the original schedule. I was afraid of being constipated, so I had a wonderful glass of chocolate milk in the hotel...That did the trick, as I never drink milk. I didn't bother me to go to the  the hotel restaurant on the last night, & only have broth, try the beef broth, while hubby ate. I wasn't the only one with just a bowl of broth. I work in a Hospital, so I know good care, I & got excellent care. Feel free to ask anything....Kathy

Hi,

Alsolooking for a Mexico surgeon for the summer. There are so many surgeons, hospitals, clinics, etc... Many medical tourism companies are running specials. Not an easy task to choose a surgeon

I did not use the same doctor. With that said, I may have spent $15 total on my trip. I tipped the driver a few dollars each way. Then I bought a couple bottles of water or G2 when we stopped mid way on the drive. Other than that I had no need of any money.

Good luck! July will be here before you know it.
