I had my surgery July 18th. It was everything I expected. All the research I did prior to the surgery was true to form. The hospital and staff in Juarez, Mexico was outstanding! I feel great. Very minimal pain just soreness from the incision. Dr. Rodriguez is a sweetheart. His entire team was fantastic. I wouldn't change a single thing about my experience. Excited about the road ahead!
Though I have not had revision surgery, my doctor Dr. Juan Hidalgo in Puerto Vallarta has done many and I know he would be happy to answer any of your questions and get you in touch with some of his patients who have had the surgery.
Good luck!
I had mine done about a month and a half ago and I had the best time. I'm a young woman who traveled alone and I never had one worry. I had the surgery, made some new friends, and then went shopping. It was fabulous. The hotel was very safe and the drivers were super accommodating.
get in touch with Trish at Weight loss for life, I went through her with Dr Ponce, amazing experience, highly recommended.
It's not that bad, although I don't know if I would walk around at night. I had my sleeve done in October of last year.
I'm sorry, I am 4 yrs out and can't answer your question. I don't think my surgery was at either, although I think we had our xray of our stomachs done at Hospital Angeles and it was nice. I did have Dr Kelly as my surgeon, and I LOVED him! Good luck to you!
Hi I had my revision surgery with Dr. Jorge Maytorena with Long Term VSG this past July 13 so I'm 6days post op. I had to failed lap bands. I'm feeling great!!! I know how you feel this was my 5th surgery:( I did lose 115lbs with the first band before it slipped.
Hi I was sleeved in Tijuana on July 13 it was a good experience for me and my husband who went with me. My husband stayed in a hotel that he walked to and did some shopping and ate at the restaurants he really enjoyed it :)
Hi Y'all!! I am considering surgery in Tijuana and my friends and family are concerned that the town will not be safe. The town does have quite a reputation, but I tend to think people are overreacting. What were your experiences? I had an emergency band removal about two months ago. My current insurance does not cover bariatric services of any kind, so I'm on my own. I LOVED my band right up until the end and I simply refuse to get fat again. So, Mexico, here I come!!
