I am scheduled for a DS with Dr. Lopez on 11/2. Did you go through Ready4aChange?
Yes... perhaps less than other areas of the country though. I live in Southern California so it's not uncommon for people to cross the border for medical treatment, dentists, etc. but yeah I get wide eyed looks from time to time... but it's been 9 years, returned twice for plastics, maintaining my weightloss and so proof of the pudding shall we say.
There are good & bad Dr's and programs in all countries... research! and ask patients Q's... watch message boards for "real patients" and message them and read their past posts.
After care is very important so be sure you find someone to do your bariatric lab work, find a dietitian, support groups, work on the emotional aspects (IMHO the most important work we do post-op is above the neck) don't wing this. WLS is not cut and done.
GOOD AFTERNOON LET FRIENDS tell you that the information that was in the news and showed that he's doing COORDINATOR BAD PUBLICITY CAMPAIGN MONEY JUST WANTED asked the DR ALMANZA THE AMOUNT OF 100,000 THOUSAND DOLLARS AS HAS COME DR ALMANZA 10,000 thousand surgeries I LIVE IN HIS CAREER IN TIJUANA WHY IS WHAT I 'M SAYING DO NOT BE BETTER TAKE NOTICE THAT SPEAK FOR YOUR OFFICE FOR INFORMATION IMAGINE FRIENDS HAVE MINIMUM 3 DAILY SURGERY AND HAS MANY CASES OF SUCCESS IF YOU HAVE ANY preguntenme I LIVE IN TIJUANA AND I HAVE THE LATEST NEWS 3 women no attention as they should after their VSG so they had COMPLICATIONS
My sister, my daughter, and myself, all had our surgery at the hospital Cer. It was very nice. Nursing staff was excellent and good infection control was practiced. I am a nurse and had no misgivings about the facility or staff.
You're very welcome. It took me a while to find them after I was told about them by a friend. They are a low-key group and don't accept a lot of patients. These people are classy, a breath of fresh air. I'll stop right there because I don't want to sound like I work for them. It's actually the first or second time since I joined this site that I give out their name.
Thank you for your reply! I will definitely look them up and do my research. Thanks;)
Hi there, I recommend Quality Medical Facilitators. I had my gastric sleeve through them with Dr. Mario Camelo and will definitely use them for my excess skin removal early next year. I like the fact that they put you in contact with actual patients that have had surgery with the doctors they recommend. Look for them in Facebook, my facilitator was Ronny, she will tell it like it is and does not sugar-coat the facts which is very important when considering plastic surgery because the recovery is not pretty.
After reviewing posts for a year, I decided that the requirements for my gastric sleeve in Mexico included the following:
1. FACS and ASMBS surgeon
2. Either a Bariatric Center of Excellence (ASMBS)Or a J****rtified Hospital. Hospital needed to be full service including 24/7 ER & ICU, CT and MRI, etc...
The low cost options did not appeal to me since I wanted to minimize risk.
The list of surgeons in TJ for me were:
Ariel Ortiz
Jaime Kelley
Juan Lopez Corvala.
After a great deal of thought, I opted for Dr Corvala at Hosp Angeles.
I spent 4 nites at the hospital and two at a hotel.
Everything went smooth and I felt that the care I received was on par with comparable Bariatric Level One hospitals in the US.
They used sequential compression devices, gave me lots of IV, Most of my meds were given IV. I met with a nutritionist and dietitian who I follow up with as needed.
Everyone has their own priorities and preferences and may choose less expensive surgeons at surgical centers or small older hospitals.
Good luck researching. There is a great deal of info to sift through!
Hi everyone, im new to this site in search of a plastic surgeon in mexico for a tummy tuck, lipo, breast lift and augmentation etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks:)
