Almost three weeks down and loving it, I am feeling so great about myself.
I look back on some pics of before the surgery and I am starting to see small differences already.
I now can put on my jeans and see that they are starting to sag so that makes me feel great.
I like that if I have any worries what so ever I can call down and get the answers that I need, most of the time I just post my questions here, but its nice to have support on all fronts.
It has not been easy, this is definitely not the easy way out as some people say, but to me it has been worth it. I know I still have a ways to go, but its nice feeling for the first time in my life I am in control of my weight loss. I appreciate my surgeon, the staff and everyone on this website that helps to support my weight loss journey. More than you every will know.
So here it is! I got approved through BeLite Weight for Gastric Sleeve. I'm sooo excited and scared at the same time. I've been wanting weight loss surgery for 20 years and finally I'm getting it. Now part of me is thinking, "EEP what did you get yourself into?!? lol" ;)
I keep wondering what life will be like with a second chance, without the constant pain, with my PCOS treated, diabetes issues gone.. how good life can be.
Here's to our health!
It has been so long ago that I honestly can't remember a lot of the foods that I ate at this stage (I am 14 1/2 months out) . I followed my surgeon recommendations and the info I found on here. I know that scrambled eggs made me sick as did any type of dairy product. I was lactose intolerant for about 2 months after surgery. I would look through old posts and do a search for "pureed" or something like that to get some ideas. I'm sure this question is asked a lot. I also know that there is a Ricotta Cheese Bake that several people on here have raved about (you should be able to find that by searching as well), but I have never tried it personally. It does look good though and I think you can eat it in the pureed stage. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Good luck to you!
Thank you for that I do like refried beans but cottage cheese is not one of my favorites.
Can you tell me any other foods that you have used.
I just so tired of eating the same old stuff and want new ideas.
I'm not sure. At my highest I was 288, 5'6" and flew many times with no issues. You may want to check to see who is the cheapest and then call the airline before booking to see what their policy is. Good luck to you.
Thanks for responding.
If I could afford two seats I wouldn't be flying alone. Do you think a flight attendant will give me grief and make me leave the plane? I don't want any surprises the day I'm supposed to fly :(
I flew when I was obese and it certainly wasn't pleasant. I would suggest either first class or two seats, if you can afford it. If not, stick to the aisle seat, rather than the middle or window.
I was very nauseous in the pureed stage, so I didn't eat too much, but I know that refried beans was one of my favorites, and cottage cheese.
Thanks for the replies. I have finally convinced my wife and I am scheduled with Dr Ortiz through a lighter me for January 16th 2016.
Can anybody give me new ideas on what they ate on the puree diet.
I have got so sick of eating the same food that I am getting so sick of the same things everyday.
I have got a few new ideas, but I can never get to many options on food wise.
I had surgery about a little over 2 weeks ago with Dr.Quinones and his staff gave me a list of things that I am able to eat just want different options.
