I'm sorry, I can't.  I am using Dr. Joya on Friday, and I'm not sure how it will go, but I promise I will let you know if it goes bad.  Good luck to you on your journey!

Congratulations!! I'm so glad ur OK.  Your post was helpful bto me. Maybe I'll go to the store and get that ice cream.  Today was my first day of the liquid diet...I did good until tonight.  I feel very depressed and scared, but I logged in to read your post, and I'm so glad I did.  I can't wait to see your update, and some before and after pictures later!!

Topic: RE: Considering Gastric Sleeve Surgery in Mexico

I had my original WLS - sleeve - with Dr Kelly in 2007 and it was a great experience.  He is very qualified, has wonderful staff, and I had no issues at all.  Dr. Kelly has done work in the US on transplant teams and trauma teams so you can be assured he's very skilled and has a lot of experience.  Good luck!

Hey guys,

I'm new around here.. Planning on Mexico for VSG. I have came across Dr. Gonzalez and his credentials seem great, however it is always better to have some support from people that have actually used the man. Can anyone give me any RECENT reviews of him, the facility. It would be much appreciated!

Still good to hear. I'm 3 days away for surgery, and nerve**** me a few days ago. I'm glad to hear you heard nothing but good things xD

I'm getting my surgery in Tijuana, and my mom was pretty happy she was able to get a room in the upper floors of the hospital instead of the hotel for the nights I was there.

I'm not sure of your exact situation, but a Dr may be more willing to see you back home if you sign some sort of agreement that basically means "nothing is/ will be their fault" due to another doctors surgery and how they treat you. That's what my family doctor told me anyways. Surgery in 3 days!

Hi, I'm here and boy, what a long flight! Before I was even off the plane the driver called to tell me where to meet him so that was good. Driving across the border was a trip! I'll be sure to go into detail on everything later.

The staff put us in a room right away to it wasn't the hoity toity one they advertise on their website. That was OK, the room is nice anyway. I was asked to change into a gown right away for an EKG, a chest X-ray, and a blood draw. That went OK. After that, we were free to go get some food! So hungry lol from fasting all day.

The place next door, I forget the name right now, was fantastic!!!! And we expected to pay like, $70 for all we ordered --- husband had some drinks, we had appetizers, and we had meaty main dishes. Dude.... We walked out of there paying $40usd... No joke! We left the server a bad ass tip and went to the mall across the street. The mall was dull.

Tomorrow I'll get the gastric sleeve performed.... And I'm freaking out lol.

Tell you more tomorrow!

I have been felling great for you all that do not know my story here goes.

I had surgery on October 28, went to Mexico Because my insurance would not pay for my surgery.

I had surgery with Serigo Quinones great doctor by the way.

The first days was kinda ruff on the gas pain but nothing we can not handle I had a nice stay the staff is also very nice.

I got pict up from the San Diego air port and taken down to Mexico.

I had a really nice stay in the facilitity and in the hotel.

I am out 2 month and now running for 15 min, started off by waking and I was able to walk up to 45 min and then started to run.

I am now up to 15 min running and shredding off the inches.

I feel and look great and my self-esteem is great I feel so happy I can not even explain in words.
