I was at the Florence Oasis hospital but a friend recently came back and said they were remodeling it.
I went with Dr Mario camelo Ramos my experience was good of course their hospitals aren't like the US hospitals but the staff was nice. I'm 10 months after the surgery and I'm 2 pounds short of 100lbs lost with no exercise at all. ?
Hey,
I and my fiancé are scheduled with Dr G. on Feb 19th. I was wondering how your stay was. I was initially concerned about the san Juan Clinica being smaller and I just need some reassurance that this place is not some hole in the wall. I've been searching all over the web for reviews on Dr. G. and they are far and few in between. His credentials seem amazing. He has been in practice for a long time and when I asked his staff about complications they reassured me that there were none, only thing to report were minor skin infections from people not taking care of their incision sites.
You are now just short of a year post op, how is your sleeve treating you? How did your PCP react when you told them you had the sleeve in mexico? any comments or insight to your stay, how you were treated, the facility, the man himself would be much appreciated!
Thanks :)
Niki
Maaaaaaan.... I feel the same way. My nerves are going crazy too. My fiancé and I are both going and I'm the one who had this fabulous idea. After he did research he was definitely on board too.. I would feel horrible if anything happend.. but I think it's just me being a "what if" type of person. I always tend to think of the horrible things vs. The great outcome. He and I are both going with Dr francisco Gonzalez at the San Juan clinica. He has years of experience and I've had GREAT communication with the tourism company as well as the nutritionist that will be visiting us. We are scheduled for the 19th. Good luck tomorrow I'm sure everything will be great! Check in and let me know how everything goes!
Heading to the Amerimed hospital tomorrow. I am extremely nervous, lol that's why I need these forums to remind me that I am going to be OK. I wish I could have gotten a two week prescription for Xanax, lol I sure feel a lot of anxiety. Who did you decide to go with?
Well I'm leaving for Puerto Vallarta tomorrow. I'm very nervous but no turning back now. I have everything ready, I'm full of chicken broth, and getting more nervous by the minute. I will let you all know how it goes
Sorry I have not been talking to much on my Blog so here goes.
The first too weeks where a little hard from the liquid pre op diet for the first few days but it got better.
About 3 days after the pre op I was hungry but I keep telling my self that I was full, about a week out I got the hang of it so it is not as bad as people put it out to be. I was a self pay patient and had my surgery in Mexico Tijuana with Dr.Sergio Quinones he is so sweet and his staff as well.
They treated me like I was family of their own so that was sweet. The facility is very clean, peaceful and relaxing. I had surgery and had a little pain from the gas that was in my body but that is very normal for most patients. I had surgery on November 28, I feel great.
I decided to go with my surgeon for the credentials that he has and experience. I think that if any body is wanting surgery you should definitely check him out and the experience that he has.
I'm scheduled for Feb 19th! Along with my fiancé!
What clinic are you using?
