I did well yesterday until bedtime and then I got the munchies! jeesh! Here's what I had yesterday: B: 1/2 whole wheat bagel w/ whipped cream cheese L: 1/2 low carb whole wheat grilled cheese sandwich D: 2 oz meatloaf made w/ whole wheat ritz crackers....YUM! 1/2 baked potato Snack: cheerios w/ skim milk Snack: healthsmart bar I did ok yesterday. I ust wish I hadn't given in to the cheerios though. Tamara 321/274

HI THERE I HAVNT HAD SURGERY YET BUT I HAVE BEEN EXPERMENTING WITH PROTIEN POWDER DRINKS. I JUST GOT MYSELF A NEW K-TEC BLENDER (JUST LIKE THE ONES AT STARBUCKS). AND I MADE A SHAKE IN IT YESTURDAY. NOW I DONT KNOW IF I USED ANYTHING THAT COULD CAUSE DUMPING SYNDROME. IF I HAVE SOMEONE PLEASE CORRECT ME OR GIVE ADVISE FOR OTHER OPTIONS. I USED 1/2 A BANANA 1 TABLESPOON PEANUT BUTTER 6 OZ LIGHT SOY SILK 6 OZ STRAWBERRY YOGURT HANDFULL OF ICE I BLENDED THAT FOR 30 SECONDS UNTILL VERY SMOOTH LIKE A SHAKE THEN ADDED A SCOOP OF VANILLA PROTIEN POWDER AND STIRRED FOR 20 SECONDS. IT TASTED GREAT. THE PORTIONS I USED WERE PROBABLY TOO MUCH FOR TINY TUMMIES. IT FILLED A TWELVE OUNCE CUP. SO I COULD USE LESS IF NEEDED. CINDY, WASILLA AK

Hi Cindy I tried several protein drinks before my surgery also.. Found one that I liked and bought a whole case of it.. It is still sitting in the cupboard.. Can't stand the taste of it now..Too Yucky sweet. My daughter warned me the drastic change in taste buds after surgery, but what does she know??? I got some samples that I took with me to Mexico and started out with them as soon as the doctor said we could have liquids. I am using the Unjury product that has been mentioned on here. You will learn real quick what your new tummy will take.. Good Luck.. Oh by the way, when I was in the apts they had condoments there. Also there is McDonalds, Subway,Pizza Hut, etc.. Don't waste a lot of money on foods for yourself.. GerrAnn

Hey Everyone! I am back on the bandwagon... Before breakfast - coffee with creamer B - scrambled egg, mozzarella cheese, enchilada sauce L - 1/2 Cup Wendy's chili with 1 oz cheese D- 1/2 South Beach Pizza Protein - protein shake, string cheese I am really trying to keep it to 3 meals a day like Dr. A suggests. I am also doing a little extra for protein though, kinda as a snack but do not want to fall into snacking habit. So, therefor I call it protein, lol! It's all samantics though, lol!
