Michelle, If you have decided to go back to TJ for fills then you should have no problem getting adjusted. I have read the midband is a good tool too, it is just not approved in the US so fills are nearly impossible here. It looks like you have the numbers figured out. I recommend you ask who will be your surgeon and do some research on him and the hospital you will in. You really should not choose a doctor by price alone. It is important to check and see if the post op care is there. The band is not just fills, things do happen sometimes and you need someone there to help you specially if you are getting the mid band. You will need to make sure they have a follow up program set in place. I am not talking about emergencies just about new things you will go through and need to be able to have someone answer questions or give advice long distance. Most people in the US have the Inamed lap band so you will have to rely on your doctor and his staff for assistance. Talking to people who have been there is important so you know what to expect. Good luck Sandy lap band - Dr Aceves

Michelle, I had my band place at Bajanor on 21 Feb and am happy with the results. Dr. Alessandrini and his staff are very professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Covarubbias is the surgeon. He is farily young, well qualified and easy to talk to. I have had no problems or complications. Both Miguel and Carlos Alessandrini are MD's. Carlos usually answers calls on the toll free number. They are available 24/7 to their patients. You may feel a bit uncomfortable about the appearance of the hospital when you first enter it. Typical of a small private Mexican hospital, it is lacking of any of the upscale furniture, wall hangings, etc that we would see here at home. Not to worry, however. Everyone that will work with you is highly trained. Don't worry. This is a good choice. I cannot advise you on the band choice. I choice the middle package, thinking that I might find someone close to home to do the fills. Interesting, the Inamed band that I have was made in Ireland, but approved here. Go figure! You will receive the original manufacture box with your surgery and will see where the band was made plus have its registration number in case of manufacture defect. The midband is approved in Europe which must be equally safe. So if you go to Mexico for fills, it should work just as well for you. If you have other personal questions, please ask me directly at [email protected]
