Slim Fast is it OK to drink?

Hello everyone , I was wondering does anyone take Slim Fast as a protein supplement? I have been trying different protein sheiks but can't stand their taste. However I do like chocolate Slim Fast but it has a lot of sugar. So I was wondering is it OK for me to drink it or not. Thank you Julia

Julia - I don't think I would use the regular slim-fast - and the reason, as you have guessed, is the high sugar content (I think it's around 35 grams). However, Slim-fast does have a new product out that is also a ready-to-drink shake. It's called Slim-Fast Meal and it only has 2 net carbs (2 grams of sugar). It has 6 grams of fiber and 20 grams of protein!!!. It's 190 calories and I think it tastes much better than most of the other protein drinks I've tried. I have found them at the Walmart SuperCenter and my parents just bought me a case of 15 at Sams yesterday. The case was $15.86. I'm using one a day to boost my protein intake. Charlotte

Well, I have tried the Slim Fast low-carb and I didn't think it tasted any different than the Atkins shakes. I was hoping they might be better, but not really. I think I'll stick to the Carb Countdown milk. Dina

I found that if you buy the mix rather than the ready made, it has less than half the sugar. I buy the choco delight Soy protein powder and it has 12 grams of sugar. Still a little high, but much taster than their low carb drinks
