Jane - I'm doing really well but like you anxious to get this show on the road! I know it will come off quick enough, but I can't help but be impatient! As for bringing the most recently replied to topics up to the top, that is a feature that MSN groups have but not this one. You can click on the link to the way right of the post button that says "recent" and get it kind of a little easier to follow that way, but I rarely remember to do that myself. Dina

HI, I am one of Dr. A's patients also, my husband swears we need a passport and birth certificate to pass the boarder. Please can Dr. A's patients that are from the United States what form of identification you used to get through. I would like to know what each of you brought to show for I.D. this is just a reassurance for my hubby. He says it has to be valid after the occurance of the September attack due to strict regulations in the airport and boarders. Thanks, Annette

Annette - I intended on bringing my birth certificate, but I forgot to do so, so I just took my driver's license and there was no problem. My friend Char brought her passport and didn't have to pull it out once. In fact, Bamby only had to show his driver's license as well. They asked us what we were bringing in the US from Mexico and that was pretty much it. It was interesting crossing the border northbound though because there are all sorts of vendors, little shops and paper sales going on out there. Had I known the flavor of it I might have been more into it and waved one of the vendors over to buy one of the little knick knacks for a souvenier but I wasn't prepared for it so I didn't participate at all. I just wish I had bought about 4 or 6 of those disposable cameras. I took a lot of pictures but didn't get near as much as I wanted. Of course, DH didn't want me to take the digital - I could have loaded a ton of pictures had I had that! Dina

Hey Annette, I just had surgery last month and when passing through the border Bambi and I only had to show our drivers licenses. This has been talked about quite a bit in the past and no one has ever been asked for a birth certificate that I know of. I was asked about my citizenship which struck me as kind of funny since he just commented on my Louisiana drivers license, but I answered and we moved on. If it makes your husband feel better (more prepared) just tuck the birth certificates into your suitcase.
