Anyone in Michigan Have a PCP Who Would Treat Them After Surgery in Mexico?

So I told my PCP yesterday that I could not afford the self pay option here for $20k for the sleeve. I had some friends who went to Mexico. I didn't even get a chance to show her the clinic , credentials, certifications and surgeons before she gave me a lecture. Shes the one who wanted this done. I found my way. But she says she wont treat me after surgery unless I can find a surgeon here that will take me on after I get home should something happen. 

I am really upset and not sure what to do. Some say that if I go to ER that they can't  turn me away. She says a surgeon here "wont touch me."

I find that a little hard to believe. What about people who get stationed in other countries or move from state to state? You are telling me if they had WLS that a surgeon in the new town would not see them if something happened?

Anyone in MI with a PCP that is all for their care afterwards no matter where they get surgery?
