Newbie with ??.....HELP

I'm a newbie on here & scheduled for surgery this Thursday. I have some questions about what's ok & what's not? Can someone please help me answer these? I'm having surgery in Mexico with Dr. Alvarez.I'm nervous & unsure! It says "clear" liquids only for the first 7 days but I thought we could have broths, cream soup, protein shakes, sf jello, sf Popsicle after we get home?? It also says NOTHING SOLID for the first 5 weeks? I thought we could start on scrambled egg, yogurt, applesauce, ect on week 2 like 8 days out of surgery? I'm on the pre-op diet now & I thought I could have the same stuff after surgery when I get home?
