I had vertical sleeve surgery with Dr. Aceves on August 5.   Everything has gone beautifully.  I feel I received better care there than I do in hospitals in the US, sad to say.  So far, I am down 13 lbs. from the day of surgery.   The day I traveled home was pretty rough, and I would recommend upgrading your seats if you are flying.   I am very glad I made the decision to have my surgery with Dr. Aceves.

I had my surgery with Dr. Aceves on August 6, 2012...so we're almost exactly a year apart. Not to mention we had about the same starting weight. What a coincidence! I am down 120 pounds from my all-time high, and about 100 down from day of surgery. I feel absolutely fabulous and love to be physically active. I run, do strength training, kickbox, Zumba, and just overall lead a much more active and healthy lifestyle. I still have about 18 pounds to go to get to my goal weight, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I wish you the best of luck on your journey. Follow the rules to set yourself up for success and you'll do great. I know it's not always sunshine and sugar plums, but it's worth it. The sleeve is an amazing tool! Way to go! kiss
