Dr. Aceves RNY to DS Revision

I want to know if anyone has had an RNY to DS revision with Dr. Aceves. I found 1 person that has, but they have not responded to my message. Not sure if that is a good sign. Please let me know if anyone had this type of surgery done with Dr. Aceves or in Mexico. I would love to get some feedback about their experience. I will repost on the DS & Revision forums as well.

Just curious. Would you mind sharing why you want or need a revision? I'm doing band to RNY revision in 3 weeks and now I wonder if I should do DS instead. Thoughts?

I had an RNY in September 2001 and about a year later started gaining weight. I am 30 pounds away from my surgery weight. I have tried dieting, exercising etc. Nothing seems to help me lose no more than 10 pounds. Then I end up gaining it back. I can give lots of reasons or excuses why I feel I gained the weight back, but ultimately, I did not utilize my tool properly and want a 2nd chance. I personally know about 5 people who had RNY and all but 1 person has gained almost all of their weight back within 3 years. I regret not choosing the DS originally. I know it would have been a better tool for me personally.
