January 16 with Dr. Ortiz

Hi, 

I'm getting excited for my gastric sleeve surgery in Tijuana on Jan. 16th with Dr. Ortiz.  I would love to hear from some others who have seen him and if you have any suggestions to help things go smooth.  

I'm having a hard time finding a spirometer here in the Canadian drug stores, and it's too late to order online.  Someone suggested blowing up balloons to get breathing exercise....makes sense to me!

Any and all suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated, and thanks!!

Dr. Ortiz assisted with my surgery, and I actually met with him more after my surgery than I did with Dr. Lopez.  He was wonderful, and had great bedside manner.  You will do great!

Good luck, I just scheduled mine for the 29th.  I better check Walgreen's tonight.

Hi Mary,

My surgery went great.  I'm thinking you probably just had your yesterday so I'm hoping it went well too.  I'm 2 weeks post op now and while I'm feel a little weak because of not getting everything in during the day, I'm really trying to increase my fluids.
