MaineCare is very fast with approvals as long as they have all the necessary paperwork. Generally it'll only be a couple of days. Good luck!

Good job! Be sure you are taking D3, dry tabelets. The prescription stuff is fat soluble and doesn't do anything for us.

Jeanine, I just sent you a LONG message ha ha ha. Your going to love Dr. Dayhim and just maybe we will meet in person that day because I have my two week follow up appointment that day.
Topic: One week out feeling great!
Hi everyone. I am happy to say my surgery is now one week behind me today and I am down 10 pounds and doing great! This is by far the best thing I have ever done for me. No pain, no gas and believe it or not I am walking two miles a day...slow but walking. Dr, Dayhim at EMMC was my surgeon and I love her!
I am happy and the best part is I have one more week of Liquid diet and then I get to taste normal foods according to Phase 4.
As soon as I can figure out how to post pictures I will.

Im a patient at EMMC, Dr Toder is amazing. At first, she seemed very standoffish to me, but I have genuinely NEEDED her a few times in recent months, and I am so sincerely grateful for her. when she needs to be stern and strict and push you, she does that. she has too many really important things to do to waste time. she can be short and sharp. BUT, there is a side of her that you get to know that is very caring and compassionate and genuine. she cares about her patients, she just doesnt have a lot of time to ***** foot around. Do all the things youre supposed to do, dont sabotage yourself, follow her instructions, and WANT THIS, and she will be the best ally you could ask for. Really. Im grateful for her and her knowledge right now, she just did surgery on me again last week for a bad gallbladder and a bile duct stone, she knows her stuff, and if she doesnt know it, she LEARNS it. She had to learn how to do ercp on a post-RNYer last week, and she did. Im grateful, she coulda sent me away to have it done. I trust her implicitly.
