Congratulations on your fantastic loss!!!  A big woot-woot here for getting back to the gym and staying active...the surgery doesn't do the work by itself, huh?  I'm glad to be at the gym myself...it's nice to be able to use my body for something other than a sofa-based paper-weight.  *grin*

Best of luck!  Keep up the good work!

hi guys, I am poking my head in fior the first time in a LONG time. Nice to see others from around my surgery date. I am going back to the gym today, have had quite a few surgeries and some complications which all ended up being gallbladder related. I should have been back to the gym a month ago, been SO busy. I feel like I need to get back to business and back on the train, so reading you guys updates makes me feel even more ready for that. Thanks.

I remember you saying that your surgery was June 27th, 'cause the day you come home should be my birthday!

You must be getting excited by now...how are you doing with your pre-surgery weight loss?  I can tell you, from what I've heard from others, that the more you lose before, the more likely you are to have an less challenging recovery!  (And who doesn't want that, right?)

You wait, you're gonna have a fantastic summer!!!

My treat during the liquid diet  was  egg drop soup  from a chinese restaurant.  you could use any of there soups if you dont eat the solid but i find that there broths are wonderful.  Hubby use to bring it home to me and i  felt like i got something  special

I still use  a scoop of unjury unflavored and a scoop of  ovaltine with milk and ice.  that is more like chocolate milk.

I did crave  salad  before i could have it.  I just wanted something green.   boy did it taste wonderful when i could have it  but i was surprised how little of it i ate.

my eyes are still bigger than my  tool.   I am so blessed that it still works.

Have a great Easter or a wonderful day

Patty

My wife and I have both had the same experiences when we dine out.  Often being questioned if the food is okay, etc.  We've gotten used to it.  Mostly, the servers themselves (especially at the always-fantastic Red Robin in Augusta), *****ally seem to want you to be happy, and genuinely concerned if they think you don't like your meal.  Today, when we went, the manager came by, and she obviously remembered our earlier conversation (the last time we went), because she didn't even ask if it was okay, she just asked if we'd like some to-go containers.  That was very nice.  We packaged the leftovers in containers when we got home, and I had 3 meals for me, from my leftovers, and another two for my wife from her leftovers.  Amazing!

Another great thing about Red Robin?  They have alternate sides that include salad, cole slaw, vegetables, etc, even melon!  And they have whole-grain breads as an option to their buns, and they will even do it wrapped in lettuce instead of bread, if you like.  It's all on the menu, at no extra cost, and they're happy to do it.

Then, to top that off, look at their nutrtional informtaion on their website...you can customize every meal by adding/removing the parts you order or don't order.  It shows up "built" they way they serve it by default, and then you can customize it, and it will add/remove the items you tell it, and re-build the nutrtional information.  How cool is that???

Red Robin gets a thumbs-up from me for assisting those with dietary needs.  :-)
