 Hi there,

Where are you from?

I'm 2 mo post-op, and exactly one month ahead of you.  It sounds like you're doing great, and staying right on track...why do you think you're eating wrong???

There is a  get back on track   class on the third monday of the month at  the Diet and nutrition center.   They will not do second surgeries in bangor.  You may find someone in  Portland  or lewiston that might do it.  YOu can also try the  5 day pouch test that can help get you back  on track.  I  bet your tool still works if you follow the plan and rules.   We have support group in bangor  on the first friday and the  third tuesday of the month also.  We do have people that have gained some of there weight back start there.   Would love to have you come.!!!  Take care and good luck !!!

I don't know the answer to your questions, but I bet Dr. Toder's office would be able to answer at least most of those for you...942-5241, I think it is.  :-)

Good luck, let us know what they say?

Thanks for your tips!  I think it's real easy to become comfortable and forget to be vigilent.  Hard to imagine, because you'd think with all the work you go through to get there, you'd never forget it.  But that's not the way real life works, is it?

Hi Congrats!  just becareful with the 'treats'... i'm one of those people who likes to 'treat' herself and although it doesn't seem like much.... it adds up!  I ended up talking to the Psychologist about why i do what i do...it was an eye opener!  Anyways, as you can guess i've regained like 50 pounds!  That's half of what I lost!  and it's hard to loose it!

good luck

Topic: Second ByPass Surgery???
Has anyone had this surgery twice?  I was 224, went down to 124 and am now back up to 174! UGH!  how did that happen?  Stress and over eating.  Anyways, I'm wondering if there is a surgeon that will do a 2nd surgery, if insurance will pay, if not how much does it cost to pay out of pocket, can i have lap band after having gastric bypass?  I would do it all again tomorrow if i could and this time I would stick to a diet regime!

Does anyone have any answers to my questions???

thanks Dave, I had the bypass May 20 last year, then a pretty fast succession of surgeries. They thought my pain was from a hernia, then adhesions, then discovered I DID have gallbladder issues, and had to have an ercp that failed after 3 hrs on the surgical table, THEn had to have Dr Ts first ever ercp on a bypass patient, which meant cutting through the old stomach to get to the stones near my pancreas, remove those, reclose the old stomach, take out the gallbladder, sluice out stones, cut the end of the duct so I couldnt retain any they might have missed, and voila! Good as new. 5 pretty big surgeries, the last one in Feb. THINK Im good now. I did get to the gyn today, and enjoyed that feeling of peace I get there. Not sure what it is, but I like it. Thanks for the encouragement. Michelle
