great news! I get mine done next week. I remember how happy I was when I got to stop my blood pressure medicine at 3 months. You must be thrilled not to be diabetic anymore!

I just had blood work done. I am 9 weeks post op from my surgery and I can now say that I am officially not a diabetic anymore and my cholesterol is now normal which has not been in many years. Potassium is still low but working its way up and prayerfully will continue to be on the rise. :)

Glad to hear you are doing well. My RNY was on 4/27/11.  I had no complications but the first 4 days were pretty hard!  I was very weak and shaky and lots of gas. Im feeling great now and I am even eating regular (not gorund up) chicken, fish, a bit of pasta, etc.  I do get tired though by the end of my workday!  I went back to work full time at 2 weeks.

Take care!

Good to hear from you J!!!

We're glad to know you are home, safe-and-sound, and resting comfortably!  I remember when I had my surgery, I thought two weeks off was gonna seem like forever, but, it passed all to quickly!!!  Relax, and enjoy the quiet while you have it!  Because afterward, it's back to the gym for you!!!

Check in, when your energy level permits!

Hey Kelly,

I stopped by to see you at your office the other day, but missed you...we'll have to get together sometime, have a Loser's GetTogether.  :-)

Didn't see you at the support group meeting in Rockport last Saturday, but maybe the next one.  My wife won't make that one, because she's headed to Fort Kent to see her niece's recital, but I'll be there.

Keep doing what you're doing!  You look fabulous!  And congratulations on the new work-gig too!

Yeah,  I think I could have lost more if I exercised more.  But hey, we are a lot better off than we were!
