Welcome to the losers  bench and congratulations.

the biggest thing that we have to do the first few weeks is not to dehydrate so sip sip sip is the norm and all the time.

It could take you  an hour to get  4 to six ounces in just keep sipping.

It is gonna feel like you are sipping all the time and that is how it should be.   That is the most important things to do  especially since you have a uti.

Take care and  have a wonderful journey

This is my first full day home from the hospital. So far so good with only one little snag... a urinary tract infection.  Waiting for the surgeon's office to call back. Surgery wise though I have had very little pain for which I am grateful.  The EMMC nurses were all great.  I am more tired than I thought I would be.  I am not able to eat/drink more than 4-6 ounces at meals, although I don't think this is unusual so close to the surgery.

I haven't been to the pool lately...I am going to try and start going again but my work schedule is so up and down up and down...never consistent! I really like the aerobic classes they are so much fun! Maybe next week I will sign up again!
As far as my salads I try not to put a lot of dressing on. Just a little bit of dressing to make it a little moister! (lol I have no idea if moister is a word) I bumped up my protein on my own. I want to get in at least 55-60 grams.

What's worth the PRIZE is ALWAYS worth the FIGHT!

Hey there Skow town girl do you still go to the pool?

I love salads and eat them as a good meal when we go out. jus****ch the dressing it can be loaded w/ calories. I would double check on the amount of protien you need 40 grams seems kinda low. And we need it to keep the weight coming off.

I still exercise 5-6 days a week mostly at the rehab center the mowing the lawn on the weekend of off days makes up the rest. I'm down almost 180 and still feel full quickly.  I do get cravings every once in a while but usually a small taste of the forbidden food satisfies me or else I throw it up.TMI
Maybe when they start support groups in Skowhegan you & I will finally meet!

Topic: RE: Making bad choices! HELP
micbrook is so right-we just need to keep trying.  I hate seeing the scale stop going down-I actually didn't notice it this summer because I was so busy-but know I am seeing it.  I feel that I am not making the best choices either.  I drink so much water a day- I hardly drink milk now.  I eat a lot of greek yogurt to get my calcium.  But the carbs are addicting.  i love bread and crackers- I think it is the crunch.  popcorn has been a good snack for me.  I feel like I am snacking a lot.    I do keep track of my calories a little better in the last few weeks.  It is amazing how they add up.

Have you tried some lemon or some oranges slices in your water?  I just drink it plain most of the time.

Good luck and just keep a positive outlook---we will get there at some point.  The road is long.
