Well it's day 6, I am down 5 lbs from surgery day but still feel very bloated so not much thinner.  I've been doing well, went out in the world with dh yesterday and it was good to be among the living but I was wiped when I got  home.  I'm struggling with getting all my protein in and all my water.  I've been sipping along but the pouch gets full and doesn't want more.  I keep at it though.  Popsicles are my friend :-)  My incisions are itchy and I'm ready to get back to my life.  Dh had to work today so I'm it, I've been up since 5:45 with my son but he goes with his community worker in about 1/2 hour so then my daughter and I can hang out and do a few errands.  (my son has autism).  My house is quite a disaster area so that'll need to be addressed at some point, I'm trying not to overdo though.  I go back to work on Wed. which should be fine.  I'm just anxious to get on with life and having more energy and feeling good so I can exercise!

All in all I'm doing well.

That's awesome Tracy!  I'm glad you liked it.  I'd like to try that someday - just so I can say I did.  My "bucket list" just keeps getting longer and longer.

I have always wanted to try rock climbing and tonight I signed up for a woman's rock climbing class at the YMCA.  I loved it.  I had always thought I was afraid of heights but climbed to the top on my second try.  I can't believe how much my life has changed since I have lost weight.  I have more energy than I have ever had and love being so active.  I can't wait to go again next week.

I'm working on getting back to normal.  I am going to try to go out in the world with my hubby tomorrow, I'm not one to lay around all day, it's getting old.  I have managed 8 oz protein drink and a container of yogurt (8oz??) and have been sipping my water all day.  I havent' had pain meds since bedtime last night because they knock me out.  I just would like to fast forward a week or two so that I am not sore anymore and am moving forward and feeling good.  I'm a terrible patient!

Glad to hear you are feeling so well.

How old are your kids? Do you have a friend/neighbor/family member to call if you get too tired while the husband is at work?

31 lbs. lost before surgery!  My goal is 150lbs.  My surgeon's goal is 110lbs.  I just can't imagine that weight right now.  Maybe someday . . .

Topic: Day 4
I'm home, slept good and hard in my own bed.  I haven't taken any pain pills today because they make me so sleepy.  I am sipping on my first protein shake of the day and it's going down well.  I don't know what I thought I saw on the scale yesterday because today it says I'm up like 4 lbs.  but I haven't gone to the bathroom for days and I'm still full of fluid so I'm just not going to even get weighed again until the weekend.  I'm going to lay low today and then tomorrow dh wants me to take a ride to Lewiston with him, it will probably be good to get out of the house but we'll see how I feel.  I have to take over childcare duties on Saturday, what was I thinking.  But mostly I feel good so I'm sure it'll be fine.  Off to rest some.
