Topic: RE: im home and in pain
Glad you are home! Welcome to the loser's bench!!! I found that most of my pain was from the gas they pumped my abdomen with. Try to move around and get that gas out of you and hopefully you will feel better! It'll get easier soon enough.......just hang in there! Welcome home!
Topic: RE: 2 weeks from today
I admire those of you that have to do the 2 weeks of liquids! I don't think I could have done it! It's hard but WELL worth it! Good luck!
Topic: oatmeal?
I tried to call tama today to ask, but she wasnt in. Does anyone know if pureed oatmeal is acceptable on the 2 week liquid diet? I have a website that gives suggestions for the diet, and it lists pureed cereals as ok. Not sure that is right, but a bowl of oatmeal sounds positively yummy right now. :)
Topic: RE: i made it!!I
Hi Tami, Yes I had a roomate, but lets just say she wasnt the most positive one in the bunch!! She had her RNY the day before me and man she was awful. Telling the staff that they sucked and that she regretted it. She was arguing with the doctors, telling them that she could have liquids the day of the surgery!! Which isnt in our program guidelines. Needless to say, It was a long hospital stay!! But now im home with my favorite men and im happy oh and gassy!! LOL How are you??

Sounds like you are doing wonderful!!!
You will be in great hands.
The liquid diet is the hardest the first three days.
If you get so you are not going to make it let the dieticians know they will give you some advice.
But if you need something to crunch on till you talk to them use cuke cumbers or celery. to get you thru. not many calories and takes care of the chew.
take care!!!
