Everyone is different but, I haven't made too many committments.  I've picked my daughter up from school and took her prom shoe shopping and prom purse shopping.  (Prom is Sat.)  But, I haven't done any housework other than emptying the dishwasher and filling it.  I've done some reading on the computer as well as real books but nothing requiring too much concentration.

Give yourself time to heal and to get used to how your body now works.

31 lbs. lost before surgery!  My goal is 150lbs.  My surgeon's goal is 110lbs.  I just can't imagine that weight right now.  Maybe someday . . .

You are doing great!  Just don't overdo it!  You are still healing.....take it slow!  Congrats!

So, if we could convince them to come up here, where would we want to do something like this?  I'm sure they'd like to make it a day long thing to make it worth their while.  How much would we be willing to spend to get them up here?  Just curious about your thoughts.

I think you've got it right....they come up and cook up some WLS stuff and then we get to enjoy!  haha

Let me know what you all think!

that is wonderful news. are you hurting much?  I am really wondering if I will be ok to sit at a desk and do some volunteer work in the week after surgery. what do you think? Just computer stuff.
I tried an atkins vanilla shake tonght, it wasnt too bad. I think mixing some carnation into it would help. Have you tried them?

Have you tried putting unflavored Unjury protein powder in your Cream of Chicken Soup? That's how I get a lot of protein in. I made chicken stock when poaching chicken breasts for my family and then add the protein powder for my serving of broth.
Good Luck!

It's hard to believe that it's been 7 days since surgery!  I can't believe how remarkably well I feel.  Yes, my body is tired but, I'm not hungry.  I am a bit bored with the liquid options but losing a pound a day is a good reward.  I'm walking and increasing my stamina each day.  Getting all the protein in is challenging but, I am doing it mostly.
